[image description: petition website (dumpstarbucks.com): “We are urging customers across the globe to ‘Dump Starbucks’ because it has taken a corporate-wide position that the definition of marriage between one man and one woman should be eliminated and that same-sex marriage should become equally ‘normal’. As such, Starbucks has deeply offended at least half its US customers, and the vast majority of its international customers.
On January 12th, 2012, Starbucks issued a memorandum declaring that same-sex marriage ‘is core to who we are and what we value as a company.’
Starbucks also used its resources to participate in a legal case seeking to overturn a federal law declaring marriage as the union of one man and one woman.”]

The Latino vote in America is a key swing vote, and will be so even more so in the future, both because of demographic growth and inherent uncertainty: Will the process of assimilation to the dominant Anglo culture lead Hispanics to abandon traditional family values? We must interrupt this process of assimilation by making support for marriage a key badge of Latino identity - a symbol of resistance to inappropriate assimilation.
The strategic goal of this project is to drive a wedge between gays and blacks—two key Democratic constituencies. Find, equip, energize and connect African American spokespeople for marriage, develop a media campaign around their objections to gay marriage as a civil right; provoke the gay marriage base into responding by denouncing these spokesmen and women as bigots…
“People weren’t running around having abortions, women were happy to stay at home and care for their children and husbands. That’s what I want to see America returned to. A simpler time when we had rules that kept things the same.”
- Rick Santorum
Here are a couple of Santorum’s political stances to help put this comic into perspective:
Is against Birth Control (even though birth control pills are used for more than sex). [link]
Wants Puerto Rico to speak English. [link]
Is against gay rights. [link] [link]
Is racist. [link]
Wants to outlaw porn (which is akin to SOPA against our constitutional rights). [link]
Wants to remove women’s rights. [link]
Wants to make laws allowing abortion Dr.’s to LIE. [link] [link] [link]
Thinks that anyone who goes to college and wants an education is a “snob.” [link]
Wants to reset the country to 1957 [link]
Seriously… is anyone else as scared for the future as I am?
