Only one group is to blame for the continuing suffering: the House majority and their Speaker John Boehner (R-OH). [Historically] disaster relief was something that you didn’t play games with, but now in this current atmosphere everything is a subject of one-upmanship. It is why the American people hate Congress.

Gov. Chris Christie just RIPPED House Republicans for blocking Hurricane Sandy relief.

Behind the Scenes with The French Laundry’s Culinary Gardener @farmert

For foodies, a trip to The French Laundry in Yountville, California, is the experience of a lifetime. With 3 Michelin Stars, lengthy wait lists, and endorsements from the food world’s elite, opportunities to dine there are few and far between, not to mention pricey.

Fortunately, there’s Tucker Taylor (@farmert), The French Laundry’s Culinary Gardener with a keen aesthetic eye for his fruits and veggies. @farmert takes his Instagram followers with him into the 3 acre garden across the street from the famed restaurant. There, he grows exotic sunchokes, heirlooms, turnips, lettuces, and radishes that Chef Thomas Keller incorporates into his courses.
